Each year, MDOT MTA allocates State funding to projects 6 years into the future. The Capital Project Investment Strategy scores and prioritizes proposed projects for funding using criteria that align with MTA’s four cornerstones: Safety, Efficiency, Reliability, and Customer Service. This project is closely aligned with the agency’s asset management efforts and draws upon asset inventory-related data that is maintained regularly. It also involves coordination with Asset Owners and Project Managers throughout MTA’s operating modes.
