Kristen has over two years of experience managing and providing technical guidance to local jurisdictions in hazard mitigation and grant management.  She provided technical assistance and subject matter expertise in the development, maintenance, implementation, and outreach of hazard and flood mitigation plans for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).  She was also integral in the MEMA grant process – including pre-award, implementation, review, closeout, and post-award.  A key piece to successful mitigation involves educational outreach. Kristen is a highly sought-after educator for informing stakeholders on mitigation best practices, risk reduction, community preparedness and resiliency, long-term recovery, resources, and grant funding availability.
